Tuesday, February 22, 2011. I need to restock my inventory. I find it easy to know what I have by sorting everything in old hosiery boxes and vanity trays that belonged to my Mother and Grandmother. It takes many earrings, pendants and beads to create one piece. My friend Delores and I decided to take a trip to the Candlestick Park Antique Fair this last Sunday. When I got home I was newly inspired. Stay turned for my new creations.

At first, I did silk painting but later wires weaved their way into my fingers. Ideas were being born and the first necklaces made on the spur of the moment and out of imagination. Over the years, Kathryn Ireland has kept us in awe over the houses she designs, as well as the ones she lives in. The above house in Santa Monica was her home for many years - it is where she raised her three sons. The Spanish styled white stucco home was large and rambling and it often served as a showcase for her latest fabric designs. Still, it was time for a change. The prettiest thing about the house was undoubtably the back yard and Kathryn! .

Thursday, February 22, 2018. This gorgeous red toile canopy bed certainly has a French style and the pastoral fabric includes foxes, dogs and cherubs in addition to the darling little birds. Gorgeous colors of toile featuring a peacock design. I can only wish my sweet parakeets had a home as lovely as this Meissen cage.
